What is an AI software factory?
An AI software factory is a way of building software in which AI agents do the repetitive engineering work inside a controlled, repeatable process, while people stay in charge of the decisions that matter. Instead of a single assistant that suggests code, a factory has defined stages, independent checks and a record of everything that happened.
What a factory adds to AI coding
- Stages: work moves from idea to design, specification, build, review and release in a fixed order.
- Independence: the agent that writes the code does not grade its own work.
- Evidence: every claim is backed by the output of real checks, not by a summary.
- Memory: lessons and decisions are recorded, so the same mistake and the same question do not come back.
- Governance: people approve each phase, and the full history can be audited.
How Marduk works
Marduk starts from an idea, expressed as a conversation, documents or both. Discovery produces the architecture, a technology evaluation, a risk register and a compliance review. Design and specification follow, and each specification is hardened before any code is written. Independent agents then build, test, attack and review each piece of work, and every decision is written to a signed ledger.
What makes the result trustworthy
- A tester who sees only the specification, never the developer's reasoning.
- A director on a different model who reads the raw output of the checks.
- Adversarial audits that repeat until a full pass finds nothing.
- A rule that empty code, faked evidence and silent failures are rejected.
Who it is for
Teams that want to build real products faster and need to show how every decision was made: enterprises, regulated industries and consultancies delivering for clients.
